About this project:

The goal for this project was to create a joyous, modern and approachable identity for Oh Happy Day Confections which provides custom sweets and gifts for corporate gifts and special celebrations. They take great pride in offering delicious, personalized and memorable sweets. The company is passionate about bringing people together and believes in the power of special treats to spread joy and create memories.

The color palette reflects the name of the company and brings to mind sunshine and sunny skies. The bright, bold yellow and cobalt blue make the identity a special treat for your eyes, turns heads and makes a statement. Yellow is a gloriously happy, optimistic color whereas the blue brings in a friendly vibe. The handwritten type in the logos is happy, upbeat and playful. The logos are simple, chic and minimal, in contrast to the competitor’s logos which were either cutesy or traditional. The submark was designed to reflect the company’s signature treats which have corporate logos imprinted on them. The font palette is clean, simple and easy to read. Since the name, logos and colors represent the emotion of the brand, the specialty graphic and patterns communicate information about the actual product. The illustrations are representative of the actual treats and were created to tell the whole story.
